Starting a journey from a groundbreaking idea to a market-ready microfluidic consumable product is no small feat—especially for startups. In a complex field filled with technical and logistical hurdles, knowing how to transform a concept into a manufacturing-friendly, scalable product can make all the difference. Over the past decade, Wainamics has collaborated with more than 50 companies, working on 100+ projects to help startups overcome these challenges, reduce development costs, and mitigate risks.

Join us for an insightful webinar where we’ll draw from real-world examples and our extensive experience in microfluidic product development to discuss the essential factors that every startup should consider for success. In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Technology vs. Products: Striking the right balance between innovative solutions and practical, scalable products.
  • Team Building Priorities: Identifying which core technologies should remain in-house and where outsourcing can help accelerate development.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn strategic insights and actionable advice for overcoming common obstacles in microfluidic product development. Whether you're at the idea stage or ready to scale, this webinar will provide you with the tools you need to navigate the journey to a successful product launch.

Who Should Attend: Early-stage founders, product managers, R&D teams, and anyone interested in microfluidic consumable product development.

Speaker:

  • Dr. Ming Tan, CEO & Founder, Wainamics

Dr. Ming Tan is the CEO and Founder of Wainamics, an engineering service company providing proven expertise in high complexity fluidic cartridge design to life science and diagnostics companies. Dr. Tan started her career in research, design and product development, working with government agencies and startups on life science tools and in vitro diagnostic devices. Realizing that to advance their projects many early stage technology developers needed ready access to deep knowledge in chemistry, materials and microfluidics engineering, Dr. Tan started Wainamics in 2014. Wainamics has developed multiple products working with Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, NASA, and academic spin offs. Dr. Tan holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from California Institute of Technology.
